Contract Specifications
On NFEX, each contract has its own specification.
To manage risks and avoid large liquidations across perpetual markets, NFEX utilizes two risk measurements:
Tiered Adjustment Factor. The Tiered Adjustment Factor is a risk management mechanism used by NFEX to adjust the margin requirements for each trading account based on the size of the open positions. There are several tiers based on the trader's position value. Each tier has a specific ratio. The larger your position, the higher the tier and the higher your position's risk.
Contract Risk Factor: The contract risk factor is a measurement of the inherent risk of the underlying NFT that the perpetual contract is based on. Each NFT collection has its own risk factor assigned by NFEX, which can range from 1 to n, where a higher value indicates a greater risk. This risk factor is used in conjunction with the tiered adjustment factor to calculate the margin required for a given position.
